The winner of this exclusive creative writing competition, organised by My Academy….. is Gianna Lawrence, a Year 4 student from Loreto School, Perth. During a special awards assembly at school, Gianna received a winning certificate, trophy and $100 worth of books for the school library.

Out of hundreds of entries, Gianna’s story was picked by our judge, renowned author Deborah Burrows, as the overall winner. Deborah was particularly impressed by her characterisation and dialogue, as well as her clever use of humour.
